Optimal settings for Sony Bravia TV

=>Only interesting for those who have a Sony Bravia TV at home, otherwise: Next How-To

In my case it's a Bravia 8 (model K-55XR80). If you run programs at less than 4k, the picture looks very skewed in its original state. For one thing, the colors are unnatural and the sharpness is so poor that it hurts your eyes after some time. Presumably the pupils in the eyes are constantly trying to focus and produce sharpness, but they can't succeed. I think it can even be unhealthy to watch TV like this for hours on end.

But it doesn't have to be like that. The Bravia 8 is one of the best TVs on the market, with a very good picture, it's just badly adjusted from the factory. This is also confirmed by many HiFi websites. I therefore experimented a bit until I found good settings. I don't know whether everyone finds these so good, as a lot of things can be subjective. You can simply take a photo or make a note of your own settings and then try out these below. For me, these settings are not just a little better, but much better than the factory ones, I can say that for sure.
