The 'Error Codes' tab of the 'Windows™ Extensions' tab is a comprehensive list of nearly all used error codes, their identifiers in programs and their descriptions in Windows programs. Ever wondered what a bluescreen error code says? Here you get your answer.
You can filter by hex code, decimal code, origin, identifier or description in a blink of an eye. The description sometimes contains a recipe how to resolve the problem. If you identified the error you can directly show the corresponding info on the web by pushing the web button right of it.
The lists of the following origins are searchable and refreshed from time to time from our web server (API = Application Programming Interface):
- Access, User and Group API
- CharDev API
- Configuration API
- Configuration Manager (cfgmgr.h)
- DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange)
- DMIN API
- Extended DOS (Disk Operating System)
- File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
- Gopher API
- HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol)
- Internet
- Kernel
- Message Server
- Networking
- OLE (Object Linking and Embedding)
- Remote Access Service (RAS)
- Server API
- Service API
- Spooler
- UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

Notes:
- Some ranges of numbers are reused by Microsoft, for example 8007xxxx has the same meaning as 0000xxxx in most parts.
- Seamless integration: If you stumble on multiple error codes while working in another app, say a debugger or browser, you can just activate the checkbox "On Copy" and copy a string to the clipboard. Mighty Desktop will then automatically show the main window, switch over to the Error Codes tab, analyze the string and check either 'Hex', 'Decimal' or 'Identifier' depending on what you copied.
- When inserting a hex code in 'Decimal' mode, the program automatically switches to 'Hex'.
